How do I thin out Dovonex cream or ointment for my scalp?

I have scalp psoriasis and need to use something more effective than T-Gel. I have lots of Dovonex cream and ointment on hand and I wanted to know how I could could thin them out so that I can apply it on the scalp. I know that Dovonex for the scalp is a compound of water, alcohol and Dovonex (cream or ointment?). Any suggestion for proportions?How do I thin out Dovonex cream or ointment for my scalp?
I would just try thinning it with water. If this doesnt work, call your dermatologist or family doctor( who ever prescribed the Dovonex for you) and ask if they will call in a prescription of the kind for the scalp.
