Aloe Vera Creams/Ointment?

I have an old Aloe Vera, which is about 5 years old and i would like to use it to prepare a cream/ointment out of its leaves.

Do you know other uses of the Aloe Vera plant (except for design and creams/ointments)?Aloe Vera Creams/Ointment?
I`m using Aloe Vera every year for sun-burns(only the fresh plant) and my mom use it (in a special formula) for liver treatment after she has hepatitis. My husband has for many years, problems with constipation...and he just started to drink a juice made with Aloe Vera.He seems to be better and better.I know also that it`s a natural detoxifying and provide natural support for the immune system. For all treatments the plant must be older then 5 years and not all species are good for internal use.(sorry for my English)Aloe Vera Creams/Ointment?
We always kept a live plant and when one of the kids had a burn or cut we would break off a small piece and squeeze the juice directly on the wound...healed in half the time...the fresh juice is the most potent...creams and ointments are much reduced in potency.
Aloe Vera is a good all rounder. I wouldn't mess around with creams etc as the fresh juice from the plant is perfectly made by nature and it is on tap for you so you don't need to do any thing else.

It's good for your skin, if there are any problems with your skin then put it on.
