What's the best way to treat eczema with over the counter medicine, pills, cream, ointment etc?

My daughter has severe eczema and we've tried every ointment we could find that claimed it would help. Plain Vaseline has worked better then anything else (over the counter). What's the best way to treat eczema with over the counter medicine, pills, cream, ointment etc?
Medications for Eczema needs to be prescribed. What's the best way to treat eczema with over the counter medicine, pills, cream, ointment etc?
Have you ever heard of or tried anything from Arbonne?

The products are OTC - and botanical based - pure and natural I have a few friends who suffer and have said these products really have helped -

You shouldn't use any products that have mineral oil to them honestly it's not good for anyone especially if you suffer a dry skin condition. Why? Mineral oil is simply PETROleum and distilled in creams and aka Vaseline-

Take a cracker and put it in 1/4 cup of mineral oil (baby)

and another cracker in water (1/4) cup and you can see the oil cracker harden = imagine your skin?
i was told by a doctor to use vaseline or crisco. take a bath in dove or dial. i even tried eucerin lotion if u think vaseline is to thick.
I have heard that apple cider vinegar has healing properties and I've heard people swear by the stuff. Use the vinegar to wash the eczema areas and do it for several days.

Try that. You can get any kind of ACV at any grocery store. Use the unpasteurized cider though...

Here's what works for me. Use soaps with glycerol, use a good moisturizer like Dove watch your intake of cow's milk, and refined sugars and white flour. Do not use steroid creams. Yes they stop the itch but they do not heal the eczema.

I use a oatmeal paste. 1/4 cup oatmeal and 2-3 Tablespoons warm water. Mix with a mixer. It should be the consistency of a paste. Apple to eczema. Leave on for 3-5 minutes and rinse with cool water. Apply a good moisturizer. One with glycerol. Try to keep the eczema cool, heat makes it worse.

Try some lavender in bath water.
