Also if I do is it ok to use cetosteryl alcohol? or do it depend on if it's O?W or W/O?If I'm making a cream and using a preprepared base e.g.hydrous ointment do I add a secondary emulgent?
Whenever you are compounding, the pharmacist is supposed to give you exact instructions on how to prepare it, including ingredients, and amounts of ingredients needed or percentage needed. At least, this is the procedure I am familiar with.
